CBA

The endocannabinoid system is composed by a network of lipidic signalization, where it modulates neural and inflammatory functions through a bidirectional interaction with the many receptors which compose this network (mainly the CB1 and CB2 receptors).

CB2 RECEPTOR

Beyond its action on the pro-inflammatory cytosines, the CB2 receptor intermediates immunomodulating properties, by activating the T cells (for defence matters), induction and apoptosis of the T cells (for balance maintenance) and decrease of migration and adhesion of the immunologic cells to the tissues.

The CB2 receptor is activated by endogenous (endocannabinoids) or exogenous (usually agonists) ligands. As an example of exogenous ligands, we have the phytocannabinoids. In BERACARE CBA, the main phytocannabinoid is the β-caryophyllene, capable of modulating cellular signals and consequently soften inflammatory effects.

With the decrease of inflammatory interleukin secretion, and mediation of the immune system through activation of the CB2 receptor, there is a direct impact o the tissue restoration and maintenance of the skins balance. This balance – also called homeostasis of the skin – allows the improvement of the cutaneous tissue’s own capacity when it comes to its natural recovery process.

CBA X CBD

Although an excellent candidate to be active in the skincare business, CBD and its derivatives are not allowed for cosmetic use in Brazil. The National Agency of Sanitary Surveillance (ANVISA), Brazil’s equivalent to the FDA, has permitted the use of cannabidiol derived products only as medication, requiring a special control medical prescription.

While the use of CBD is not permitted in Brazil, researchers all over the world have been demonstrating that not only cannabinoids present in Cannabis act on the endocannabinoid system.

Simple Organic has decided to lauch a product that holds a blend of natural complexes (Cannabinoid Active System) with similar efficiency as CBD. The Cannabinoid Active System has high concentration of β-caryophyllene, humulene, and linoleic acid, which are also present in the CBD oil (extracted from marijuana) and are responsible for the stimulation of the endocannabinoid system, being thus called phytocannabinoids.

As a phytocannabinoid rich product, those have the capacity of stimulating the endocannabinoid system, activating the following functions:

  • Modulate cellular signals, promoting inflammation reduction in addition to assisting tissue restoration.
  • Assists in mitigating the effects of precocious aging related to inflammatory stress, supporting the re-epithelization and tissue restoration processes.
  • Promotes wellbeing, comfort, calmness, and relaxation due to the increase in β-endorphin production, responsible for the balance and maintenance of the wellbeing of the skin, being also involved in the re-epithelization process, regeneration, and tissue cicatrisation.

CBA ON THE SKIN

The CBD oil, extracted from Cannabis sativa, has been drawing attention in the skincare area due to its stimulating action of the endocannabinoid system, its high antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antiacne, antibacterial, and relaxing power.

It is highly indicated to soothe topic sensitivity, acne, and aging due to inflammatory processes. Unlike THC (tetra-hydrocannabinol), psychoactive product present in Cannabis that promotes excitement and euphoria, CBD is not psychotropic and does not act on the central nervous system.

BENEFITS OF CBA

  • Reduction of inflammatory response;
  • Aids in tissue restoration;
  • Helps mitigating the effects of precocious aging related to inflammatory stress.

WELLNESS EFFECT

Promotes wellbeing, comfort, calmness, and relaxation due to the increase in β-endorphin production, responsible for the balance and maintenance of the wellbeing of the skin, being also involved in the re-epithelization process, regeneration, and tissue cicatrisation.
